Orthogonal is an animated short film that tells the story of two young women from very different, but equally challenging backgrounds. They each break free from the families, traditions and expectations that are holding them back and set out to find themselves. Instead they find one another and discover just how difficult it is to bridge the rift between their divergent worlds.

Created in Unreal Engine as part of the Unreal Virtual Production Fellowship, Orthogonal uses motion capture and the real-time filmmaking techniques of Virtual Production to tell its poetic, high concept narrative.
The film was named Best Animation at Hang on to Your Shorts! Film Festival, won an Award of Merit at the Best Shorts Competition, was a short-listed nominee at The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction and Supernatural Festival, Oregon Short Film Festival and NewBorn Short Film Festival Berlin.
Orthogonal also screened at several other film festivals: SHORT to the Point, Short. Sweet. Film Fest, Austin Micro Film Festival, Athens International Film and Video Festival, FlickFair
