With the COVID-19 pandemic making IRL music festivals impossible in 2020, the organizers of the infamous Shangri-La Glastonbury decided to create a virtual music festival. A consortium was formed with our partner VRJAM to do just that. Pansensory’s own Ollie Rankin acted as the principal technical architect of the event which took place on the Sansar virtual social platform on the 3rd and 4th of July 2020 and attracted 10 thousand attendees across the VR, PC and smartphone apps and 4.36 million stream viewers.
